Worksite Security
Unusual Access Is a Signal—Do Not Walk Past It
Worksite security depends on everyday awareness, not only gates and cameras. An unfamiliar person in a restricted area, a door left unsecured, an unattended access card or an unexpected request for site information may be an early warning. Challenge concerns respectfully, protect sensitive information and report unusual activity promptly so it can be checked before it becomes a larger problem.
Controls to confirm
- Wear and protect your own identification, and never lend access cards, keys or login credentials.
- Confirm the identity and purpose of unfamiliar visitors before allowing access to controlled areas or information.
- Report unsecured entry points, lost credentials and suspicious requests immediately through the approved site channel.
Today’s action
During today’s first work-area check, confirm that access points are secure and everyone present is authorised.
