Many serious worksite events occur when a person is placed in the path of moving equipment, released energy, a suspended load, or an object that may shift. Before starting, pause and identify where energy could travel and where your body will be if something changes.

- Identify crush, pinch, strike and stored-energy zones.
- Establish and respect barriers and exclusion areas.
- Maintain clear communication with equipment operators.
